We started our day in Miami and headed straight out to Cape Canaveral where the Kennedy Space Station and Visitor center is. We arrived a little too soon (or late) to watch a space shuttle leave earth, 39 days late to be specific, but it was interesting to be able to drive by the shuttles and rockets and know that they had either been in space, or would soon be going there. It's amazing how far technology has come, perhaps one day we'll be able to fly into space too.
From there we headed off to Orlando to see Disney World, our 3rd Disney Park. We arrived at our hotel and checked in, then after a while of lounging around, we decided to head out near sunset and see all of the different Disney parks. The good news about arriving so late is that parking is free and there are few crowds to deal with for getting good pictures.
Our first stop was Downtown Disney where we proceeded to get more Mickey and Minney ears because our previous ears were left at home for some reason. I'm not blaming anyone *cough*Boone*cough*, but we definitely should've remembered those since we knew all along we'd be going to Disney World on this trip.
Our next stop was Epcot, where we walked around at the entrance amazed at the large golf ball someone had created for kids to come see. We've never tried it before, but this was obviously great advertisement for the game of golf. We sat down for a few photos and we were an instant hit with everyone that was leaving the park.
From there we headed to the Animal Kingdom, not stopping there long before going to Magic Kingdom. Upon arriving at Magic Kingdom, we found that you need to take a monorail or a ferry over to the main entrance where the beautiful Cindarella castle is. Sadly no animals are allowed on either of those. At least we've already seen the castle it was based on close up when we were in Germany.
On our way out, we found a great little statue of Mickey Mouse in a patch of flowers that we got a photo of us with before calling it a night.
