Boston to Niagara via Gloucester and Rockport
We started off in Boston heading north and a little east on our way to meet our new friend Vallee in Gloucester, MA and then go to Rockport to see Motif Number 1. We got to Gloucester and met Vallee, she had let us know that since we were coming to Gloucester, the newspaper there found our story interesting enough to do an article about us.
We went to the Man at the Wheel Statue that Gloucester is known for to admire it and the nice harbor they have. After introducing ourselves to everyone, we then left with Vallee to Gloucester City Hall. We went inside and were introduced to the Mayor, who was generous enough to pose for some photos with us. It was quite exciting, the first Mayor of any town or city we've met.
After City Hall, we headed out to Rockport to get photos of the renowned Motif Number 1. While the building itself is quite unimpressive compared to what we've seen, the view around it was quite picturesque. We imagine this tiny town gets quite busy during the summer months.
When done there, we had lunch with Vallee (no breakfast places open), thanked her for the tour of the area, said our good byes and headed on our way to Niagara. We originally had intended to hit Montreal, but for whatever reason decided to just go to Niagara. We think it turned out to be a good decision in the end, though we're sure Montreal would've been fun too.
